As a MadLab and Level Method facility we are focused on the Coach to Client relationship. Our programs are aimed to keep clients safe and improving their fitness with regular check ins with their coach. Clients are assigned a Coach for Life that takes them through Fundamentals and then continues to work with then in private coaching sessions through their hybrid membership.
Our Training Methodology
We utilize the Level Method training methodology at 7 Mile. The Level Method allows us to map out our clients fitness abilities and give them a clear training plan for improvements. Clients are assessed across 15 different categories to determine an overall fitness level and plans are made with their coach to progress their levels. The tenants of the Level Method are to 1) Assess the clients initial ability, 2) Address any injuries or incorrect movement patterns and then 3) Progress the clients fitness levels.
“I love my job, my family, my friends, and the people that I get to interact with at 7 Mile. My start in the fitness world came by way of playing a wide range of sports during my childhood years. I played collegiate baseball, helping my team get to the National Championship game, and then minor league ball for several teams, including the Boston Red Sox.”
“After many of my own injuries and surgeries, and while working with Active Life, I created the 7 Mile Corrective Program to focus on helping people with injuries learn how to train and take control of their fitness. I am acutely aware of how it feels to be sidelined with injury and I want to help people see that they don’t have to ‘just live’ with pain – that there is a safe way to move beyond it and get back to the active lifestyle they once enjoyed.”
“I love to be an example to women that great athletic achievements can be accomplished by moms in their 40s. I represented the Cayman Islands on the National Team in Beach Volleyball and I’m a 5-time CrossFit Games Competitor.”
“While I love to compete, I get the most joy from seeing members progress and find their strength and confidence. We have the greatest members here at 7 Mile. I love that our daughter is growing up around strong, confident athletes. I hope that she grows up without the typical feelings women have about their bodies and can be proud of who she is.”
“My passion lies in health, wellness, and living a balanced lifestyle. I grew up playing competitive team sports including varsity basketball. During that time, my interest in leading others to greatness primed me to become a basketball coach for young athletes. I’ve spent more than half my life coaching others in some capacity. It’s a delight to be able to guide individuals as they overcome physical, mental and emotional obstacles. At 7 Mile, I try to instil that same drive and enthusiasm and supports members through their individual fitness journey.”
“As a Pre and Post-Natal Exercise Specialist, it is my true desire to break the traditional barriers of motherhood. I want to offer women a safe, fun, and empowering opportunity to stay fit during pregnancy, have a fit delivery, and recover so they can get back to doing what they love, sooner.”
“Gymnastics was my introduction to sports, and has been fundamental in establishing movement patterns for me, and ultimately lead to my passion for what I do today. I have always enjoyed learning about anatomy and physiology, so initially studied Human Movement Science, and went on to complete my honours in Biokinetics. I’ve worked exclusively in physical rehabilitation for a number of years, and have broadened my field a little each year to eventually include CrossFit. The most rewarding part of my job is helping people with injuries or restricted mobility find movements and exercises that bring them closer to reaching their goals.”
“I have always been involved in some form of athletic endeavor. From an early age I understood the all encompassing benefits of exercising and especially competitive pursuits. I fell in love with CrossFit from day one and appreciate the diversity it has to offer. It has also enabled me to travel across the world and build life long friendships.
As I have developed as a coach I have a greater appreciation for longevity and encourage others to move well and remain functional for as long as possible. I stand by the principles of strength and believe that life is motion.”
I was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. I started My Bachelor of Science at Red Deer College in 1995 and later transferred to the University of Alberta. I then took Dental Assisting at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and soon realized that I had a strong passion for the prevention of disease and therefore took Dental Hygiene at the Canadian Institute of Dental Hygiene. I worked in the dental field for over 20 years and along the way made the shift to focusing more on overall fitness, which I have found to still fulfill my passion for preventative health.
I moved to Cayman in 2002 with my husband and we have 3 boys, all born in Cayman. We are proud to be Canadian and Caymanian and I take extreme pleasure in helping to improve the health of my fellow Caymanians and Cayman Residents.
As a parent of 3 boys, much of my efforts are spent on being a parent. At the same time, I enjoy furthering my knowledge in preventative health arenas including fitness and nutrition where I have attained CrossFit Level I, CrossFit Kids, USAW Olympic Weightlifting Coach, and Precision Nutrition Level I certificates. I enjoy training people in both fitness and nutrition as well as you may hear me dropping pearls of information relating to oral health. I also enjoy traveling when I am able.

We’d actually encourage you to ask a different question. What are your goals? Personalized attention? Trained, professional coaches? Accountability? Working out with a group of like-minded people who cheer on your success? If the answer to any of the above is “yes”, then we’d encourage you to check us out.
