Tell us a little bit about yourself  – including something we may not know about you.

Born & raised on this beautiful island!

I’m the middle child I have an older sister & younger brother.

I’m a car/jet ski fanatic if I’m not in the gym, fishing or playing sports.  I’ll spend most of my time tuning & modifying cars, trucks & skis.

Savory not sweet please!  But now and then I do enjoy chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream on the side…yum!

I have a beautiful Rottweiler named Nico…he’s apart of my inner circle!  I usually tell him about how horrible my workouts were at the gym but he only cares about why my feet smell funny & what’s for dinner.

What made you walk through the doors to give 7 Mile Strength & Fitness a try?

Long story short I use to go to gym but felt that the techniques I were using to lift weights just wasn’t working out. I was basically injuring my body without seeing proper results, I needed the guidance of certified professionals to help me reach my goals safely – this is why I looked into 7 mile Strength & Fitness plus CrossFit was a game changer for me and now it’s all I can think about.

What was the hardest part when you started out and how did you overcome that?

Definitely comparing myself to others, I didn’t understand the process of fitness and strength. Now that I do I realize that it’s a progression and once you stay consistent you’ll reach the goals that’s best suited for you!

What is something you’re really proud of?

I’m definitely proud of where I am today compared to two years ago. 7 Mile Strength & Fitness has made me confident on the field when I’m playing rugby or football. I see the results as I make a tackle or when I get told I’ve been on the field 60 mins without a break…stamina level on point!

When you see  _____ in a workout, it makes you do a happy dance!

Deadlifts & burpees over bar! I mean come on, that’s like going to the grocery store and buying two items for the price of one. Who doesn’t like a great deal!?

When you see _____ in a workout, it makes you want to cry.

Air bike! I don’t know who invented that machine but it was built with hate towards humanity.

What have you learned about yourself since joining our 7 Mile family?

There’s more to life than strength & fitness but strength & fitness adds more to your life!  Also that the word “can’t” should be thrown out of my vocabulary! Gooo 7mile.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Whoa! Tough question especially after a pandemic. I definitely would like to increase my responsibilities in life, create challenges and be able to overcome them. It’s an aggressive road but with a positive mentality, good health & great fitness I’m sure I’ll be the best at whatever I decide.

Anything crazy on your bucket list? (bungee jumping, sky diving, hiking?)

Omg! I don’t know where I need to go or who I need to speak with but can someone get me on the next season of “The Bachelorette”.

Favorite song?

Purple Rain – Prince

If you could write your own WOD, what would it look like?

21-18-15-12-9-6-3 of multiple weighted movements (timed)! I feel that a WOD like this definitely helps you to push yourself and also helps you to pace your workout! Getting down to those single digit numbers before time runs out is crucial & the most rewarding feeling when it’s over!

Would you recommend 7 Mile Strength & Fitness to others and if so, why?

Definitely! It’s such a diverse community of beautiful folks. My social lifestyle has improved over the last year just because of 7 Mile. I’m so grateful for all the things I’ve learnt along the way and all the people I’ve connected with. I’ve gained knowledge from coaches about living a healthier lifestyle and also gained knowledge from friends in the gym on how to live a wealthier lifestyle. Best of both worlds if you ask me! I still don’t understand why there isn’t a door mat at the entrance that says “welcome home” cause that’s how it certainly feels.

Thank you, Sonny – we are proud to have you as our April 7 Miler of the Month.
