1) Tell us a little bit about yourself – including what a typical day in the life of Tonja looks like 🙂
- My life first and foremost revolves around my faith in God. I am very involved at St. Ignatius Parish and can be found helping wherever I am called. Outside of Church and showing up at 7 mile 3 to 4 times a week, I bird watch. It is one of my favorite things to do. I get out in nature and try to see as many birds as possible. As of today I have a life list of 113 different species of birds here in Cayman and there are still many more for me to try to find.
2) When you see  _____ in a workout, you think, “Yes, I love these!”
- I love any type of sit ups.
3) When you see _____ in a workout, you think, “Oh man, these are hard!”
- BODYBUILDERS/BURRPEES
4) What was the hardest part for you when you first started?
- The hardest part was the running or the overall stamina I needed to get the work done the first 3 months. I just had to say to myself – you can do this,  you can finished keep going. It is fair to say I still feel that way now but I now know my body can do it, I just have to try and give it my best and keep improving in little steps.
5)Â If you could write your own WOD, what would it look like?
- I like doing the Annie work out. I like doing sit-ups and the jump roping together. Sometimes I do a version of this at home or when I travel.
6) You just completed the Whole Life Challenge and got some really fantastic results. Congratulations!! Tell us a little bit about that experience for you.
- This was a great experience. I was able to change not only the way I eat but how I use my time during the day. I think the two biggest changes that happened and stuck were, taking the first 15 minutes of my day to read the daily bible readings and reflect and pray on them and I have cut most of the sugar and the wheat/processed foods out of my diet. I might still have a treat or a sweet but it is not daily for the most part. I still eat like I did on the challenge and give myself an indulgence from time to time. I plan on doing the challenge again starting on April 15th.
7)Â Favorite place to visit?
- I always love to go home to Virginia and spend time with family and friends.
8) If you could have lunch with anyone in the world , who would you pick?
- My best friend Steph. in TX we have lived apart most of our lives so would give anything to have lunch with her.
9) Anything on your bucket list?
- No I try to live each day to the full and what comes in my day is meant for a me and God’s plan for my life.
10) What is the best part of your day?
- Waking up with a whole new day in front of me.
11) Tell us something you’re most proud of.
- I am most proud of my relationships with all the people in my life. It takes work to have healthy relationships and I am willing to give my best even when it gets hard.
12)Â Would you recommend 7 Mile Strength & Fitness to others and if so, why?
- YES and I do. I know if it can change my life, it can do the same for anyone who just shows up for themselves. I love how friendly everyone is. The are many different types of people from all backgrounds of life and at all different levels of fitness but it works and it is inspiring. I am always challenged and never bored and everyday it is something different. Looking forward to continuing my journey to better heath.
